Getting deeper into programming and my old shitty laptop broke down. What would you guys recommend? I want a good Quality and I'm willing to pay for that, but not to overpay. Budget < 1000 would be nice, but isn't a necessity.

Lenovo X1 or T14 are great ones for me as I need to travel a lot and I just love the trackpoint ... makes me about 10% more productive just becaseu of this shitty red thing there.

yes, I travel a lot and it is just one of the best ones, especially I love the keyboard which is so great (of course also the trackpad which I mentioned)

actually I got already one. the original poster is looking for one I guess. but I will soon upgrade my X1 to another newer model as I would need 32GB and maybe a faster CPU ... it is still freaking fast but already 4 years old.

I'm looking at an X1 myself for a friend as a gift, so you helped inspire that a little
best just look for one that is used and about 1 year old or so because then you literally get them for 50% off and for an X1 a year is actually not really something.
