Telegram has always shared data with govts, not sure why it's so surprising for people. They are based in UAE so just think about it... UAE is a surveillance state and there is no way in hell the Sheikhs would let allow Telegram to operate unless the first condition to get the license would be sharing data.

probably going to be a big deal in the russian military since they use that shit for comms, but for the average user, nah we good.

I absolutely love telegram as my social media to connect with colleagues and maybe enemies lol. Some features are beneficial but it might be harmful too. I will really sad if Telegram gone unless there's substitute for Telegram which has same or maybe more unique features

When one falls another will take its place. If it does go down in flames im sure another options will show its face shortly after.

I would assume so at this point, along with any comm app that has gotten main stream attention either willingly or by force.
