I have to say that coffee is a beast in and of itself; one day of not drinking coffee and I get massive headaches. But once I drink a cup, I am good. A drug...maybe not due to it being natural, but am I addicted to it, for sure, or at least my body is. Now I drink to wake up and to keep awake with work and classes going on this summer. I personally do consider it a drug, same with every other chemical. I personally love coffee. better than any anti depressants ive tried.

Caffeine is a drug. It is a stimulant. It is natural - plant based. But this is true of many drugs. Due to its more mild effects, it is not a controlled drug. While I don't love the taste of coffee, I do drink it daily. Caffeine helps control headaches. As a PhD student, I spend a lot of time reading and on screens. So keeping headaches at bay is important. 

I think when it comes to caffeine, moderation is key. Too much coffee can have a negative impact on cardiac health.
