Netflix is about to release 0day, a show about a cyberattack against the United States. Do you think it's realistic to take an entire country offline through a cyberattack?

Not a whole country, only certain infrastructures will get attacked at a time.

There are so many interconnected systems. 70% would already be huge!

Yes, I think so too. An entire country seems very unlikely, especially for the USA.

Considering how comically fucked everythings becoming, I can totally see it being a possibility, never say never!

Of course they can!

Nicole Perlroth, has a book "This is how they tell me how the world ends"

Very interesting book about Secret Ciberwar, the secret market of ciberweapons, how each country manage their politics in cibersecurity and a lot of facts about, Russia and China.

recomended!

I just finished the series. Not bad at all, the "hack" is just an excuse for geopolitical content.

for a moment I thought netflix had a zero day ...
anyway, it's not realistic and the easiest way to take down a country is with a nuke, not some fuckign ddos attacks or shit like that
