The canary seems like its been updated. I think its useless for a site like this. Canaries only work for legally ambigious websites not forums lke this.

Gotta disagree with you on that.

If the site is coerced by authorities or other entities, the cessation of the canary updates would serve as an indirect signal to users that the site is no longer operating under the same conditions/ownership.
