mmm does it have the "remote unlock" option enabled? because with that you could use the "Find my phone" feature and unlock it remotely, from what I understand.

If the phone is really old you may have luck and somebody has posted a tutorial in the depths of the internet on how to bypass the password by rooting the device.

It can only be used if a Samsung account with known password is present and all the right settings are enabled. But often the only option is guessing the password

I had same issue with a samsung ace 4 (2014 phone) and the solution was to hard reset (this deletes all content in the phone u might try ytb), don't know if this possible for ur phone though
