i find vpn better then proxy cause its more safty and its easy to use it. but proxys maybee they are injected with honeypot from fbi and it will be easy to track you

in my opinion, VPNs are generally easier and probably more reliable for pentesting. Proxies are good for a single app and encryption is questionable. With a VPN it hides your IP, has encryption, and covers all data coming/going from your device.
Choose your VPN carefully several of them are being watched by the Feds. Look into 5,9, and 14 eyes. Try to get a VPN provider that is not within those countries and keep your hops out of those countries unless you have a decent proxy chain that you can watch closely.

It all depends, if you use a proxy like Tor, Tor is safer than a VPN since it goes through several nodes, although this makes it slower, but more reliable in terms of anonymity.

A proxy and a VPN are two completely different things for different use cases. I mean sure, yes they both change your IP address hurray, but it goes so much deeper than that when you've got both feet in this life.
