I don't quite understand this whole shit. It's not like they lost any data. They have plenty of offline backups. Tons of drives with all kinds of data on it.
The only thing they stole were user credentials. But who cares?!
Everything on their site is already public. They didnt lose anything on their public web.
So what if millions of people's credentials were leaked? That happens on a weekly basis.
This was probably the best thing that ever happened to IA. Now they got rid of a lot of open vulnerabilities.
Think of this as an audit at the expense of user credentials.
More people need to start using password managers and stop re-using emails/usernames/passwords.
