recently saw a russian group condemn isreal in support of palestineians. do you think more groups will take sides or just attack whatever targets they can find?

ive honestly only seen hacktivists and (possibly) apt's going against israel and nobody against palestine, wonder why is that?

i "borrowed" a silobreaker account and just today morning it was about 5 groups agianst israel. Most hacktivists, one apt from egypt or africa

I personally hate that some of these "hacktivist groups" don't take a side and just attack for the sake of attacking. Some even attacking both sides, it's ridiculous.

I think that a lot of unreported war activity passes through hacking attacks, infowar and all the rest...

If wars could be fought with keyboards instead of bombs, the world would be a much better place. It's hard to tell how effective they've been in the israel/palestine conflict so far but during the arab spring revolutions, anonymous were instrumental in ensuring that the people of tunisia had access to the internet during government instituted data blackouts. distributing modems, building meshnetworks and anything that allows ordinary people to communicate with the outside world would be much more helpful than just ddosing some websites.
