How compressible is the text file?
I got a 300+MB text file and after decompressing it, I found it was 2TB. It’s incredible. At At

What was the extention? .7z? gzip? .rar?

7z is good enough.
XZ is more hardcore though

Depends on the content (redundancy in file) and the algo (gzip, bzip etc.).

yeah Txt files tend to be more compressible. 7z should do it just fine
