Zuckerberg just announced that Facebook (or Meta, whatever) is ditching its fact-checking system. Instead, they’re rolling out something like Musk’s “Community Notes” on X. According to Zuck, the old system was too biased, made too many mistakes - Lol no shit
So what do you think? Was Zuckerberg just reacting to pressure, or was this all baked into the plan from the start

Is it really surprising anyone? He's been following right-wing accounts for years, and only started penalizing them once Biden took office.

Lmao he has been supporting democrats for more than 15 years. It's just that he's a good boy and want Trump to acknowledge him. At first he was scared to be labelled as racist or extremist thats why he was siding with democrats. But know the game has changed so he's doing what he wants i guess but he also wants to please Trump. Look, he just removed tampons for men's bathroom in meta's headquarters yesterday.

I think it has less to do with wanting Trump to acknowledge him, and more to do with him seeing Elon Musk's success so far with using social media to influence politics to his benefit and wondering why it took him over 20 years to try and do the same.
Because sure, he played a good boy for Obama and Biden, but the American political landscape has been conservative for almost half of the time Facebook has been a thing. He's probably looking at how many missed opportunities he's had to push useful idiots into office instead of being the useful idiot pushed around. The only real liberal position that benefits him and his companies are matters like interracial marriage and Net Neutrality, and he could have secured a lot more security on the latter point had he spent more of his resources on bankrolling politicians to ensure he doesn't get fucked over by internet regulations.
