VSCodium works well for me.

If you like using KDE as your desktop environment on Linux, you can also try out Kate--it's surprisingly nice to use and has a lot of features besides simple text editing.

NeoVim. It's always been the answer. It always will be the answer. On a side note, this may not be the most efficent way of doing things, but ive found using a quick and dirty vim macro is pretty useful for looking over and editing databases.

I like PyCharm the most & Jetbrains in general, though I don't think it's the easiest to get started with if you've never used one. You'll benefit more from using something simpler to start with, then moving over.
