Everyone has probably seen Ross Ulbricht's pardon. Which events yall think will follow up this one? Maybe pardoning Tornado Cash creators too. Or maybe this is only a populistic measure

Feels populistic, although I fail to see any big group of the US population pleading for Ulbricht to be free.
I think I read an article where Trump says the people who jailed Ulbricht are the same ones who tried to weaponize the government against him. So it just might be symbolic for him

What kills me is, it wasn't for the drugs that they locked his ass up, he attempted to MURDER someone. Tried to get a hit on some dude.
I guess T-Rump did not read that part of the story. Also, the guy had a LOT of MONEY, which is what T-Rump cares about & was into crypto, another thing T-Rump is now into. Maybe he needs him to show T-Rump the ropes & will give him a job. lol !! If your a smart criminal, T-Rump will put you on his staff list. I'm surprised he hasn't pardoned Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán, the Mexican drug lord and leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. He has MONEY stashed away & can help T-Rump with his "illegal problem", by killing them at the border, before they can cross it. Its most likely rolling around in T-Rump's head, especially if he reads this. lol ! Plus, he can pay T-Rump to get his drugs through customs. lol ! Seeing as T-Rump is a felon, he thinks like other felons.

What is the Telegram Exchange Group

I guess he'll start an OnlyFans page and begin selling pictures of his crypto wallet. Sounds about right for today.
It is crazy though. I think the life sentence was arguably extreme but to be pardoned by someone who earlier that morning, commented on reigniting a war against drugs is extremely hypocrisy. The guy was in talks with Cartels and Hells Angels to sell more, let alone the supposed discussions about arranging hits.

Trump didnt pardon Ulbricht because he believed in his cause or whatever, the case was popular enough and it earned him more support from a different group of people, young people etc. They did really make an example out of Ulbricht at the end with his sentencing, but as COF said his sentencing also considered him attempting to hire hitmen for people. Like its not only about him making this cool website and the freedom of choice whatever. I like the guy, he is smart and everything but he did hire a hitman.
So anything popular enough to get him support from different margins, Trump will get involved. So i dont expect him to get involved with any other cyber related crime cases unless its super popular. I cant think of one right now but yeah let me know if you do

Trump doesn't give a shit about him. It was probably Musk that brought the idea to him, for the reasons you stated.

He only gets involved like this in things that will give him support. Seems totally populist.
