Focus on improving your skills legally. Consider white hat paths, maybe look into cybersecurity programs. Algebra can be learned; don't let it stop you.

Like I cant even do algebra ( yes algebra) Also I'm pretty broke but decent at hacking ( mostly in web applications) So i was wondering what should i do with my life? Should i go to college? should i become a white hat and forget the whole black hat hacker idea? What job should i get when i graduate school? What can i do right now to make money but also stay focused on hacking? How do i plan to get a job if i cant even pass my algebra EOC from freshman year? Should I try to join a hacking group? Guys WHAT DO I DO?

First off, it's cool that you're reaching out for advice. Being 16 and figuring out life can be daunting, but you've got time to explore your options.

Let's break it down. College isn't the only path to success, especially if you're into hacking. Sure, it can be helpful, but there are plenty of self-taught hackers out there making waves. If you're considering college, look into programs that focus on cybersecurity or computer science – they could give you a solid foundation.

As for the black hat stuff, I'd steer clear. It might seem thrilling, but it's risky and could land you in serious trouble. Going the white hat route could open up legit opportunities in cybersecurity, where your skills would be in high demand.

Now, about making money – there are freelance gigs in cybersecurity and bug bounty programs where you can earn cash for finding vulnerabilities. It's a legit way to make money while honing your skills.

Don't stress too much about algebra. Sure, it's useful, but plenty of successful hackers aren't math whizzes. Focus on what you're good at and keep learning.

Joining a hacking group could be a good idea, but make sure it's a legit one that's focused on ethical hacking. You want to surround yourself with people who can help you grow and learn responsibly.

Keep exploring, keep learning, and stay on the right side of the law. You've got this!

Thanks for your response the best one I have seen

Stay out of trouble, surround yourself with likeminded people , read a book whenever you can, keep healthy, maintain meaningful relationships; get education on whatever subject that interests you.

Try try bug bounty programs, you can learn and sharpen your skills.

Regarding your math tho, don't give up. Math it's just about being stubborn and try and try and try until you succeed.

I think you're lying about the first part. Regardless, if you're 16, you likely have two more years before you graduate high school. Going "black hat" will probably never pan out the way you think it will. Likely you'll stay broke. White hat hacking is definitely a suitable option. If you know much about web app hacking, you can become a pen tester. That seems to align with your hobbies.

Algebra isn't that hard, you just have to sit down and focus. Look up online algebra courses from scratch and follow along. You need to apply yourself to get good at things, same with algebra, then you can pass that. I'm certain you can learn it in a few weeks at most, trust me.

Uni depends on the country you're in, really. But supposing you're in a country where it's not overly expensive, it doesn't *hurt* to go to uni. You can even spend that time looking for jobs or looking into sectors that interest you.

For now, try to get your life in shape. You can look into web app pentesting jobs or similar in the background.

Is computers and hacking your passion?

I say find what you want to do before you decide to go to college. Maybe get an internship first and make sure you do like it enough to be a career

Its your choice what you want to do with your life, if you are SURE and 100% sure that hacking is the way to go, go for it, focus on it more then. But while doing that, definitly go to college and get your shit together, meeting the right people can change your mindset and help you plan what you want to do with your future. And it's in your personal interest if you want to go for white or black hat, whatever it is be good at it, maximize the skill in that, hack and do shit and sell the shit in forums or some sites if you want to make some money, you can offer to hack websites for some money too, whatever you do, stick with school, get a tutor if you suck at maths, dont ruin your fucking life by dropping out of school, you got this, its not a easy thing to have the motivation to hard work in school but belive in yourself, you will have everything you will need. Good Luck.
