Just fun ways you can also apply learning. There's an app on your phone you can get called 'Code Academy' or sth which kinda turns learning to code into fun micro lessons akin to Duo Lingo. Start small & engage

I think I'm not the only one, but I became interested in programming through video games. When I started playing video games, I was curious about how games worked, how characters and scenarios were created, and that led me to want to learn programming..... I remember my first "hello world"

At the beginning I was not a big fan of programming, it seemed to me very complex so many functions, classes, parameters, etc, but when you start to create something bigger and more functional that led to research, watch videos, look for articles and that, well... you get fond of it, then I wanted to learn much more, I started with C++, from there it became easier Java, Javascript, Python.

lets say u want to make a game, figure out a concept or a telegram bot, or a scraper, or a website
start learning by failing miserably but in the end u will get to some result
chat gpt and prompting makes this easier

I think that everyone could have different motivation basing on the current interests - so if your brother plays some games, maybe make some mods or automatizations for them?
I've learned python, my first language, from codecademy - but I've already had some motivation to do so, and it was at my first year of university, so I think it's more important to find some relevant motivation than the right learning tool

What inspired my entire Cybersecurity and hacking jurney was a little video game called Watchdogs 2, which also inspired my coding jurney since rn i can make my own tools. tbf my tools arent really top of the notch yet but they are still fun to play around with. Thinking about making my own version of nmap but idk about that, will deffenetly make my current existing tools better!

Maybe your brother would be inspired by playful and creative projects too. Showing him concrete examples of what can be done with coding might really help him see the fun and rewarding side of it.
