Oh, I definitely think the music is still popular... but it's the music from back in the day. There's no new bands in the genre, and very limited new music coming out from those artists in the same style.

It was a genre that mixed metal and hiphop. So... it died. That's like asking if thrash metal is dead, the answer is mostly yes.

Deftones created the style, Korn kept it going, and then they went and made a dubstep album.
