I used protonmail, but I saw that it handed over a journalist's IP to the Swiss authorities.

Which email address is the most secure on Surface? I currently use Tuta

And of the onion emails, which is the safest? I use cock.li

I never saw any decent alternatives brought up since Tuta, so that must be the obvious surface-based choice now. Sucks that you have to wait a week or so for them to verify the account, like I don't need to use it at that moment.

Protonmail was good, but then there was some talk of info being handed over so.... I guess not so much...

protonmail is still really really good, just hop on mullvad and create an account that way. Also do it on a linux based distro, I dont know why but whenever I do it on windows it asks me for a recovery email but with linux it doesn't. Another alternative I recommend is alo.ne also known as evil.site, only thing is they are premium so you have to pay. Temp mails are also always your best friend.
