How long do you need this to go on?

Doesn't matter, simply has to send 100s of messages to one number from multiple phones.

Well it does matter cause there are many that have a free sms bomber....but only sends up to 200 or 250 before needing to press send or automate....and there are some that charge and will send it by the hour.... a free option, google sms bomber and it's under the site mytools.... and a paid option would be under prozone.cc, they have sms, email, and call bomber in their site when u sign in ...hope this helped.
