I mean, when you imagine it couldn't get any worse, it does. The article's worth the reading and may help our fellow users avoid some OPSec failure in the future.

Well well well, who remembers what I said in Shoutbox month ago regarding his opsec?
Brazil's Policia Federal... Even said hes hiding in Belo Horizonte and warned his location leaked...

Once again seraph8 drops intel month before any fed could, possible giving USDoD time to escape if he just would have listened.

@shearunnatrckstr remember?

He chose not to try to flee, and I understood his reasons when he told me his decision.  Remember that he had already been doxed before Crowdstrike/Tecmundo, so he was already aware that Brazilian authorities could have charged him. But he didn't see himself as a threat to Brazil and believed he could be of value to his government.

From what he told me, Brazilian federal police allegedly did not start investigating him until after the August media coverage naming him. As of two months ago, there were no charges against him. He had hoped that if the federal police did decide to charge him with anything, he would have an opportunity to meet with them and try to show them that he was valuable to them. That doesn't seem to have happened -- at least, not yet.

I think the bigger concern is whether the U.S. tries to get Brazil to extradite him -- and if they do, whether Brazil will cooperate.  They usually don't, but....

I gave detail description of how they following him month ago.

"He had hoped that if the federal police did decide to charge him with anything, he would have an opportunity to meet with them and try to show them that he was valuable to them."

This was his first mistake. As brasilian he should know better. They dont do that. Those jobs are contracted to SIKUR, Inloco and Conviso. Maybe even Apura and ex Morphus.
