When you want to do something online without leaving a trace back to yourself what do you use?

VPN and proxies etc seems to be less safe because your IP will be logged somewhere. Ok you have Mullvad and similar VPNs but you have to pay for it, adding another piece of data for possible detection, yes you can use crypto or send money in an envelope but nothing is foolproof, and its safe to say Mullvad is under more interest by governments due to its privacy.

Seems like with Tor the only risk is your ISP and thus potentially your government knowing that you are using Tor at a particular moment in time, this is somewhat  mitigated by using Tor Bridges. Your IP is not logged anywhere, your exit node has no idea who you are, seems safe enough and also no need to pay or leave any personal data in order to use. The more people using Tor in your country the less chance anything you do can be attributed to you. Disadvantage of Tor is that few sites such as social media allow access from it, and due to Tor Browser/Tails/etc security you can not even use many file sharing sites or create accounts on many online services.

I use Tor for BF. You can also reach the clear net through tor.

Just combine a VPN with tor. I run Mullvad VPN with on my host machine and then i run all the things i need to (eg. This place) on Whonix which runs through tor. Alternatively you can have Linux guest machine and run that to a the Whonix GW and yank another VPN on top of it just in case, and i will recommend that.

Mullvad and TOR are the GOAT. Listen to this man
