The book provides useful information.
I only have one criticism: in a chapter the book recommends bad configurations with Tor and VPNs, like connecting to a VPN over Tor or Tor over Tor.
With Tor -> VPN you decrease your anonymity, because, in addition to the data that the VPN might have on you (account details and payment method), you are connecting to every website with the same fixed IP address, while Tor uses a different circuit for every website, and changes them frequently.
