mmm you could use Android-x86 it's a good free alternatives to other Android emulators if you want to run applications. It's different from others 'cause it boots as its own Android OS, not on top of another system.
If you're willing to spend a bit, check out Genymotion, it's another good option

In terms of compatibility, the Android Emulator is the best, and it is recommended to use android studio + emulator directly for applications.
But if you have some large-scale games and heavy computing, it is best to choose an emulator optimized for gameplay x86.
some game companies privide them
