I mean whatever the US is doing is nor rly affecting me. But maybe my country is following them.
Dont even use TikTok right now because it is a time consuming monster and also offers me a shitload of bad content to waste my time.

I think the US officials once stated that TikTok is some kind of social media weapon to make the youth stupid. (bit late for that)

But I have to admit that TikTok is offering a bit more openess to other political beliefs. When I was using it I noticed and TikTok got the reputation to be a "dangerous social media with anti-democratic tendencies".
So yeah, I am actually glad TikTok is not banned anywhere in the west so far.

I'm glad I don't live in the US, tiktok has complied with US government requirements for all data processing and more than a few of the employees are US natives, only the CEO is Singaporean. But the U.S. government only gave two ways, either be sold cheaply to Americans or quit the U.S. from now on, I just can't imagine the U.S. is so heartless to crack down on foreign companies, will other foreign companies dare to enter the U.S. in the future?

I think it's ok, tiktok only reduces your concentration level, now it's used a lot by children too, it's not good to overuse it, they can set limits but many don't follow them
