The topic itself is to vague.
There needs to be a specific age limit set, and even type of data.
Example age 17 and under, as anyone 18 and over generally considered an adult.
So this would mean all the K-12 (Kindergarten to grade 12 breaches cannot be posted) regarding students
But outside of those kinds of breaches I am NOT aware of any kid specific data that has ever been released targeting kids.
The issue now becomes, taking many of my own releases into account stuff like Hospital and Insurance record data, some contain relatives and dependents.
Meaning kids can be listed in them since they are covered by parents policies.
Are we now saying this data cannot be released?
One has to think how hard it would be, to redact records from these types of files without harming the integrity of the data itself
It is not like each db shows the ages, and sorting through the data by DOB would become a major task for anyone.
Then having to redact the info makes it even more problematic.
Who is going to go through a database with a few million lines or more to redact the kids?
I am not, which means there is a ton of data that I could never release since it MIGHT or has some kids info in it.
Unless a specific release is geared towards kids themselves then my view is it is fair game.
