Active reading of books? Yeah I also believe that less and less people are reading for fun. I mean there are way more and better methods to get that kick of dopamine after a day of work. Sleepy
Can't blame them I guess.

Yeah, I see your point, but reading develops your imagination, vocabulary etc keeps the brain active and healthy, unlike watching TikTok's for example

Definitely agree with this. It's a good way to keep yourself alert.

Yeah, and I do think it's vital for young kids to read. I feel sad when I see 10 year olds for example with tablets on the playground, glued to the phone/tablet or whatever electronic you can think of. Also parents who leave their 1-2 year olds on phones/TV because their are too busy and it's easier that way, than they are wondering why their children can't speak properly till they are like 4 Undecided

Definitely man. I've got younger family who can't switch off from their devices for even a few minutes, it's gotten really bad. They do not do well in any kind of social situation.

Exactly , yeah this is an arising issue and I feel like no one wants to do anything about it. Kinda worried about the future generations, I mean except reading, the education system in most countries is also degrading, which is also a huge problem.

Definitely seems that way. I don't think it was great 20 years ago, can't even imagine what it's like now.

Seems like being worried about stuff is the go to now man haha. Can't seem to escape it.

And that's what makes it so insidious, that getting used to it is probably also just part of the plan.
