The breach originally occurred in September 2022 but was kept private until December 12, 2022, when it was listed for sale on BFv1. The seller claimed the database would be sold one to two times before deleting the thread. Social Blade confirmed the breach's legitimacy via email sent to those affected. This breach is unrelated to the 2016 Social Blade breach. The compromised data includes usernames, email addresses, IP addresses, tokens for business API users, authentication tokens for connected accounts, and more.
