I've been using a normie distro up until now. I think my next one will be Arch because I like the idea of controlling every component. Installing all the useful packages will be a pain in the ass, though. The recent attacks on the AUR also have me worried. Maybe sticking to a distro that has vetted package manager repos is the smarter decision.

I just use windows tbh. It is very simple and good. I don't see any issue with doing it unless you have an intelligence agency after you.
