Next.js vs Node.js?

Hello, i know basic javascript and have done frontend. Now for backend , should I go with nextjs or nodejs. Also , if you know resources for the same, do drop them.

those are two different things

NextJS are FullStack/Backend Web Framework, while NodeJS are Javascript Runner

You might want to compare NextJS with ExpressJS (another Backend Web Framework) and compare NodeJS with Deno.run (another Javascript Runtime Engine/Runner)

If you don't have any clients other then web I think bundling backend in Next.js isn't bad. However if you have multiple frontends for example a seperate mobile frontend project it could be wise to seperate the backend API into its own project.
