What are your thoughts on Lady Gaga being in the film?
I have mixed feelings. I'm not usually a fan of introducing celebrities who are outside of the acting world into movies. It made sense in the "A star is born" movie, because she played a singer, and it's easy to make the association.
In Joker I see it as a very risky decision.... But Joaquin Phoenix has a lot of confidence in Todd Phillips, so I want to believe that if an actor of Joaquin's caliber has accepted the decision to have Lady Gaga as his Harley Quinn, there must be a compelling reason and they believe it won't take the viewer out of the experience.
We'll have to see them on screen, and hopefully I'll get to see Harley Quinn and not Lady Gaga, but a priori I'm reluctant....
What do you think about it?

Out of all the creative directions the new joker movie is heading into, it's the 'musical' aspect that I'm trying to wrap my head around... but I won't pass judgement, until its out

Shit, I had completely forgotten that part of the equation. When I read it I thought they would take advantage of Lady Gaga's skills to add some light scene, but not that the movie genre would shift to be a musical. If they turn the Joker sequel into some sort of "The Greatest Showman" I'm going to start doing cartwheels in the theater hahahaha
