yeah, I have seen such cases, it ain't pretty. Balance is a key part of it.

Most people can't control themselves, we give those to much freedom and now shit like tiktok exists

self control is hard, especially when it's so easy to space out for hours on tiktok or any other social media, when you are fucked up from work, life etc your mind gets needs a brake so what is the easiest way out - stay for hours on your phone. It's sad though but this is the modern world

Modern and old only wears new clothes, but what is happening was always the same. Excuses for being a bad person are still only excuses

yeah, true but there is so much more to it than it seems. Some people don't have it easy and that is an easy escape. I just try to understand them : /

It’s a complex issue. Technology connects us online but can limit in-person interaction. Tradeoffs exist.

True, the internet facilitates connections across distance, but screens can become barriers to local socializing.

Valid point. On the other hand, technology also enables closer contact with distant family/friends we’d otherwise rarely see

That’s true. Video calling has been invaluable for distant relationships during the pandemic, for example.

On the other hand social media engagement often displaces getting together physically with local connections... Not good

Agreed. Virtual contact has pros and cons. It expands connections globally but reduces them locally at times.
