Tesla P40 has a closed radiator, if you do not replace it, it will not cool the video card even in a "cold" case. You can look at YT, how Tesla P40 is cooled by server fans through adapters. Quite noisy. But I am friends with a screwdriver and picked up a compatible cooling system from a gaming video card
Sounds like it was a worthwhile fix then.

Very true, but I use my RTX 2060 still for image diffusion, and I can generate a picture in about 15 seconds, and that things only has a few tensor cores, the 5070 will be a night/day difference

There are so many naked asses on the internet now, both real and drawn, that generation time doesn't matter.
