Never done any physical changes to a GPU, probably a good thing to know. Keeps them going a while longer.

Tesla P40 has a closed radiator, if you do not replace it, it will not cool the video card even in a "cold" case. You can look at YT, how Tesla P40 is cooled by server fans through adapters. Quite noisy. But I am friends with a screwdriver and picked up a compatible cooling system from a gaming video card
