The essence of life lies in work, though it may sound sorrowful.

Turning 18 is a significant milestone, often marking the beginning of adulthood and the arrival of new responsibilities and freedoms.

Here is some advice from a half-old man who would have liked to hear this at your age but probably would not have respected it because of the need to live his own experiences :

- Whether you choose to pursue higher education or enter the workforce directly, continue educating yourself and learning. Education doesn't end with school. it's a continuous process that can help you stay competitive and fulfilled.
- Learn to manage your money. Creating a budget, saving a portion of your income, and investing wisely can help you build a solid financial foundation for the future.
- Take care of your physical and mental health. Regular exercise, a balanced diet, and adequate sleep are fundamental.
- Surround yourself with people who support and motivate you. Healthy relationships are crucial for emotional well-being. At the same time, start building a professional network that can assist you in your career.
- At 18, you'll have more freedoms but also more responsibilities. Make thoughtful decisions and be prepared to accept the consequences of your actions.
- Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Whether it's through traveling, trying new activities, or meeting new people, new experiences can bring you joy and help you discover your passions and interests.
- Life is full of ups and downs. Patience and perseverance are essential to overcome challenges. Failures are often opportunities to learn and grow.
- It's important to have goals, but also be flexible and open to changes in direction. Life can be unpredictable, and sometimes, the best opportunities come from the unexpected.
- Find a balance between work, studies, hobbies, and time spent with friends and family. Balance is the key to a fulfilling life.

This is an exciting time in your life, full of possibilities. Enjoy every moment and remember that you have the power to shape your future.
I wish you good luck, lots of great things await you. it's up to you to make it as good as possible.

Not much will really change, maturity comes with experience not lifetime. Though you should be more responsible with the consequences of your actions as now you are legally an adult.

Try to find work you find genuinely interesting and fulfilling. Short of that, look to earn enough that you can afford the time and resources for things you actually do like.

Reduce wasted time (ie:gaming) and work on ways to learn. Certs are a good way. Don't waste your time!

Thank you for the advice. I am aware of many of the things you have said, but even if I do my best, it is not what I want, I hope this situation will change in the future. Also I will start investing in crypto and shares

I am currently working as a software developer in a company. However, I think I'm getting bored of this job because it doesn't feel as exciting as before, I want to try something new, maybe it would be nice to take a break.

Welcome to adulthood, where you'll discover the bittersweet taste of life's harsh realities, feeling like being enslaved to the system.
