I’m spending too much time on my phone; I sometimes waste an entire day. I can’t get things done and I’ve also more things I want to learn and read . Can anyone recommend me some ways that I can stop my addiction?

I would start by cutting off one app at a time, Right now I am also battling it. I deleted twitter and that was hard for me to do. It's all about progress

Remove all app that you are spending too much time on. When it comes to app that are nice to have, but can quickly become a time waster put a timer on how much time you are allowed to use on them.

e.g. I have a limit of 30 minutes on youtube. This ensure I do not waste my time watching youtube video.

My goal is to spend less than 30 minutes on my phone a day.

I think you just gotta stop using your phone.

Do something else fun to forget about your phone for a couple weeks, then once you're not catty about your phone and have forgotten about it, replace the fun stuff with the boring stuff - unless you become addicted with the fun stuff too.

Replace your phone with a different addiction like crack

Just leave your phone behind a do something else. Anything. Start 1 hour a day. Then progress from there.
You will fall back if you arent careful, like any other addixtion.

This is also rather important, finding something to do fun thats offline, I personally enjoy electrical tinkering.

put a timer on the apps u use too much. everyday u should write a list of what u want to do and start ur day with one of the tasks. especelly if its something u want to learn. easier said then done lol i know

my suggestion is to avoid picking up your cell phone as soon as u wake up, try to leave it out of reach and on silent so u don't get distracted by notifications. Try setting goals, for example, "I'm going to do this thing first." If u succeed, u earn the "right" to use the phone for 1 hour. And so gradually.
