A handheld is pretty great for modding and emulating games and you can use it as a pc too if you ever need it. Moreover, you can play pretty much any triple a game that came out in the recent years but i don't think that battery is going to be that great if you push it

I've had a Steam Deck for ~ 1 year and it's awesome. Battery life can be a problem but it's honestly insane to see how many games it can run on such small hardware, especially considering there's an extra performance bottleneck with the Windows -> Linux translation layer (Proton).
