Whoever has it no doubt wants to keep it. It would be insanely valuable. Basically a license to print money.

Assume that it has SSN's, DoB's, Addresses etc => basically everything you need to take out a loan.
Now pair that with other breaches
Then find a new "Finance 2.0" that gives out loans based on some new fangled assesser that's never met a risk it didn't like. 1hr to qualify. Own your own house => Approved!

You just need to be careful to open new accounts and slowly extract cash.

This keeps me up at night.

Good asset and useful resource, no doubt. Not so sure about it being license to print money. Base is almost ten years old. The supplemental data points are freely available from numerous resources (most states). Unless the compromise exposed metronet profiles as well, the only key points interest would be Ssn and reported employer infos.

I should pay more attention on TechCrunch, etc  of new and exciting fin-tech startups. Basically to be ready with SSN + work history + LinkedIn history ready to submit credit applications. Second, the video selfies should easily be fakeable with "DeepFake 2.0" which I also have neglected. 

Finally, if we can learn anything from Bernie Madoff, nobody asks questions when money is being made. There's no harm in paying the debts (out of the loan money) for 90 days so you can pull the rug out for all the debts all at once. This requires patience and is lacking with most capers.

Was the data there for 2017? He could have just made an up to date statement, it doesn't cost that much. All you need is your passport details.
