I think yes, because philosophy allows you to change your way of thinking and see things differently, with more distance.

I'd like to know what you think ; )

Nietzsche made me MORE of an asshole. I highly recommend "Beyond Good and Evil" but not Zarauthsra".

Communist Manifesto (Marx/Angels) - good because it shapes how the modern left thinks.

Mein Kamph could classify as philosophy but maybe get ChatGPT to summarize it for you, as it's hard to read.

Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" - also made me more of an asshole.

YMMV

Okay thanks, i will see
For me, "Simone de Beauvoir" and "Immanuel Kant" help me to understand some idea in philosophy.

"Simone de Beauvoir" help me to understand inter-subjectivity and "Immanuel Kant" help to understand metaphysics.

I recommend these 2 philosopher, and read their text.

You cannot learn philosophy, you can only learn to philosophize.

Yep, 100% on this one. You gain and develop deeper insight, and become more rich as a person for it

Absolutely. Anything that opens your mind will certainly improve you. Well, for the most part.

I think you get "improved" by what you believe that improves you.

philosophy is simply using your mind to think about big questions like existence etc .., and discuss other people point of view(mainly philosophers but possibly anyone) . I think it can play the role of religion starting from 20 years old as in that age humans want answers to big questions

it really depends on how you implement the stuff you read in your own life
for me I choose to live my life from a 3rd person view... I do blend in with people but i don't get emotionally attached to them because for me i think they come and go
