Have a look at your browsers saved logins, some come with a breach alert

Ok. So, in other words, online services to be able to decrypt the password with the filtered hash in the compromised database. This is how to regain access and take the appropriate measures. Of course, refers to a password hash that has been leaked and whose format is totally or partially unknown.

There are few, but the most popular are haveibeenpwned, breachdirectory and more recently, some browsers offer similar services (but I think they just query HIBP)

It refers to where to check to recover or defray a hash from a compromised account. For example, there is certainty that there is a password at risk. However, so far it is impossible to know exactly what format the hash is in. That is, there is the certainty of remembering one of the passwords but as exposed in the leak is not enough why it says it is in SHA1 and when checking it appears something else. So the hash is not saved in simple SHA1.
