Tor's purpose is not supposed to be for downloading of large files.

Save the bandwidth for those that actually need it for a purpose.

There are two issues with using CDN over Tor.

The first being that we end up clogging up bandwidth on the Tor network since it's not really designed to use file transfers (multiple hops). At the basic level it kind of causes bandwidth hogging on the Tor network, and the bigger issue for us is lots of downloads end up failing because the file is too large that someone is trying to download. We're working on improving the ability to download files in a safe way - like using Tor.

TOR is also used for anonymity. That is what I want.

More than enough bandwidth for downloads, it just works.

And BTW downloading over TOR on this forum used to work in the first weeks. It is actively switched off recently.

i agreeing with you that person must decide whether want to hog donated tor bandwidth or not to download dataset. but capability to download through tor was being possible initially here and now not so. is this because original setup was being ddosguard and now is switch to cloudflare? also resume in tor or not tor is simple (or should say was) as i believing your backend is support range request no?

thanks to you for work hard toward improve safe user download. is possible to aproximate range of time to arrive such feature?
