Hello everybody, this may be a stupid question but how do I make a data breach lookup site similar to breach.vip? I was thinking of making a data breach lookup site for my own personal use but idk where to start, any help would be appreciated.

In order to learn, really get your hands dirty.
Look at the different layers 1st.
Where to store the data. ie, mongo, casandra, redis.
Next how will you retrieve it? an API. Springboot and java is pretty easy.
Presentation. react or angular perhaps. research these, choose your components, then start building.
use gpt or deepseek for guidance.
Get your data into a db 1st. if you have beefy hardware with plenty of ram, redis would be best. really fast lookup. alternatively mongo.
Once the data is there you should be able to create a springboot rest api in 2 or 3 hours that can retrieve the data. then it is as simple as building an interface to extract and present the data.
