There was a study years back showing how gambling is just as addictive as drugs and alcohol and addicted people showed the same changes in their brains.

I agree that as a pass time it's great as long as you consider the investments already lost. But in general I think gambling is a part of hell on earth ;d

There is gambling like, slots, betting on sports etc. But if you are playing poker, blackjack and other things it isn't rigged too much for you to have an advantage and win if you are good at the game.
