to understand NFTs you have to understand the techonlogy hype cycles. Everything is always built in a hype around a "big vision" which it cant accomplish. An NFT might be good for a certain kind of thing (maybe 0.01% of use cases) where it really makes sense to have such kind of "verification" but in most cases it is just useless and makes things more prone to error etc.

But the NFT and crypto bubble was big because suddenly a tech-hype was generating real money, real quick - so people jumped on it and thought that a freaking picture of an ape or stone is suddenly worth 1 million just because you are the only one having a picture of a stone. Nobody realized that "scarcity" is only worth something when someone really wants this good - and me personally, I don't want to pay for a picture of a stone.

there was a conclusion some months ago that 95% of the nft projects on opensea just dumped after some months. so yeah for me nfts are 100% a scam without any value or reason. malicious communities and celebrities just want to cashgrab their audience.
