well, probably the industry pc or servers are infected so they get leaked by whomever got hands on. Otherwise there's no logical reason to it, or just someone close doing same shit...

When CD and tapes were the main channel of distribution, employees at the factory would steal the material and leak it to the scene. Also some regions (Japan and Korea) would frequently get the release before the US did, so someone there could just get the media and upload that to the scene.
Some studios would have the young tech or assistant get a copy and give that to friends, who would give that to their friends and not long after everyone has it. There was this one recording house in LA that had a small FM transmitter for doing car checks, and people would often come by to get the latest material that way.
