cURL/aria2 Optimization

Hey everyone,
Struggling to find my way around.

Aware that downloading large files from .onion sites is not the best and is a slow process that requires a lot of patience, are there optimizations that can be set in motion to speed up these downloads?
Tried cURL in first place but was getting lots of (33) and (18) errors, probably due to shell command non set properly, then decided to give aria2 a try (in combination with Privoxy).

As of now I'm working this shell:
aria2c --all-proxy=http://127[dot]0[dot]0[dot]1:8118 --max-connection-per-server=1 --split=1 --timeout=600 --retry-wait=30 --max-tries=20 --check-integrity=false --allow-overwrite=true --continue=false http://site[dot]onion/files/archive[dot]zip
It's working fine but I'm wondering if there are any tweak to give it a little boost

Have you got any tip/suggestion?
Thank you
