Actually I personally prefer OpenAI's GPT-4 or GPT-4-turbo for general purpose use and high quality language generation deployments. It provides a good balance between performance, distribution and versatility.

OpenAI has so much advance compared to other models. But to be honest there are to many players in the race right now. It wouldn't surprise me that one of them take the lead in the future
