TryHackMe is another prettygood one. I think it's more suited towards beginners. Code Acedemy is good but it's just coding, not really hacking.

Not sure who the fuck told u that HackTheBox teaches coding, but no, HTB teaches mostly web hacking, I'd suggest CodeCademy for code learning.

Don't focus on hacking per say, you need to understand the coding language itself and then how it can be applied to your tasks. the issue with that is you also need to be generalist, and understand how code works with the framework of the system as a whole. Like I've told my boss many times, you have to know how to build the infrastructure before you can troubleshoot it properly.
