The ATF and Obama's 'Fast and Furious' operation directly resulted in the deaths of hundreds of French people in the night club massacre following Charlie Hebdo. The reason they don't go after crime in the US is because the majority of people that perpetuate it are black, and it would be bad for optics.

You're missing the big picture. Dropping high tech weapons for the Tali might create regional instability. The chaos then brings the need for us to get the funding approved to deliver them more freedom.
