I's say the tor browser if you really want privacy. Yea you can take your regular firefox or brave browser and use tor or a VPN with it but the problem with that is your browser is still leaving a unique footprint with your screen resolution, time zone, installed addon's,etc. The tor browser fixes this by making everyone's browser footprint look exactly the same and it's already tweaked to stop leaks that regular browsers have to be modified to fix. A perfect example is firefox has things enabled by default that will leak your IP address when using a VPN a good example of this is webRTC. The mullvad browser may have these issues fixed too but I haven't checked and I like firefox the best but regardless it's still better to blend in the fog with every other tor browser that looks the same if your goal is privacy.
