Recently, several South Korean media outlets reported that deepfake photos and videos of explicitly sexualized Korean women were frequently found in Telegram chat rooms.
I thought it was necessary to raise awareness of the incident.
Would you like the people in deepfake if they were people you knew? Family, loved ones or acquaintances etc...
I don't think I would think so
As the world becomes more technologically advanced, I don't think anyone should be harmed by it.
all people, What do you think about deep fakes?

They can cause a lot of harm, but seems pretty impossible to prevent it from happening??? So hard now to tell what's real and what's not

IDK how you could stop deepfakes. It is making it difficult to distinguish reality though

Eh, it's all going down hill. Deepfakes have kind of plateaued in the last couple of years and it's a bits away from being commonly accessible and user friendly. On the other hand, Koreans will do anything except getting a girlfriend. I mean, I can understand how hard it must be to look like an asian man. Women are hit or miss, even if asian, but god being an asian man must be the worst.

I believe that a multi-faceted approach is necessary to address deepfake crimes. This includes education, awareness campaigns, and international cooperation. The gender wars in the country is divisive.

These deepfake pornographies have been around for a pretty long time. They had some telegram channels called "지인능욕방" in which they would upload people's deepfakes. It's just that the news media is now reporting more actively about it, and people are paying more attention to the issue. As for the solution, I can't think of anything definite. As long as people keep uploading their photos online and these criminals never get caught, this issue will persist. Maybe the government outlawing nude deepfakes may work. I've seen some tools that would add invisible distortion to images making it very hard for AI's to train on them. But these were not designed for preventing deepfakes, so I don't know how effective they'll be. Unfortunately, as for now, I don't see any effective measures being taken by the government.

It certainly feels like that, although I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of posts around here are helped by AI too.
