Why do you think social media influencers have such an impact on the lives of young adults. They can literally promote literal shit, and people would still buy it or follow their retarded trends.

Because young people want the things these people flex, most are retarded anyways because parents neglect them

Your posts are quite impressive, and your knowledge on a wide range of topics certainly shines through in your speaking style.

I think influencers impact young adults so much because they make connections feel more intimate, teens crave that personal community.

Agreed. Having influencers post vulnerably fosters a sense of friendship. But do you think the one-sided relationships influencers form with followers could become unhealthy attachments?

The attachments likely feel more reciprocal than they truly are. And over-relying on influencers for guidance probably isn't wise.

True, if used judiciously they offer community. Do you also think the nonstop curation of image influences unhealthy comparisons? Teens may fixate on unattainable perfection.

The carefully curated images set unrealistic expectations. Though couldn't that critique apply to traditional media images too? At least influencers show more humanity at times.

You make a good counterpoint. Traditional media also feeds unattainable ideals. Perhaps influencers' transparency around flaws creates more balance.
